AGL Training Ltd are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative Apprentices on behalf of our well-established client based in Hortonwood and Stafford Park, Telford.

Our client has had a vacancy open within the business and is keen on offering the opportunity to their local community. Our client has extensive experience in providing support and mentoring for apprentices. They currently employ a Warehouse Operative Apprentice and have successfully trained an apprentice in the past, who has since progressed to become the company’s Stock Controller.

The position is for an Apprenticeship, the position is initially 12-15 months with the possibility of a full-time role at the end of the programme.
During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications:

Supply Chain Warehouse Operative L2 Apprenticeship Standard

Highfield L2 Certificate Supply Chain Warehouse Operative
-
Highfield Functional Skills in English and mathematics L1/L2
General Duties
You will receive training to enable you to carry out the following duties

Manage loading and rounds are dispatched.

Manage the goods inward process and ensure all non-conforming food is segregated away from acceptable produce.

Manage the goods outward process, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.

Ensure cross docking is carried out in a safe way as per company’s Procedures, and FLT’s are checked daily, recorded in relevant logbooks and defects reported.

Work to standard operating procedures in line with the company policy.

Take responsibility for all documentation you need to complete for each shift.

To immediately report all incidents related to all safety issues to the Warehouse manager.

Maintain high levels of Health & Safety awareness and report any areas of concern to the Operational Lead immediately.

Support the company’s food safety policy by observing good personal hygiene practice and reporting any illness to the Warehouse manager.

Control the quality of the goods as described by company’s Quality Management Systems.

Assisting with warehouse stock controls, typically involves using a handheld terminal (HHT).

Ensure that all non-conformance goods are reported to the Warehouse Manager.

MHE activates, such as PPT, Counterbalance, Flexi and Reach trucks.

Put improvement suggestions forward where appropriate.

Working Hours
Monday – Friday: 8.45am – 5pm Total hours paid: 40hours weekly.
