AGL Training Ltd are looking to recruit multiple Artisan Meringue Production Apprentices on behalf of our well-established client based in Tweedale, Madeley, Telford. 

Our client is experiencing a period of growth and are looking at offering a number of opportunities to their local community to share their knowledge and expertise, they have welcomed many apprentices in the past and are passionate about growing local talent, in fact their first ever apprentice developed into an Operations Assistant Manager.   

The position is for an Apprenticeship, the position is initially 12-15 months with the possibility of a full-time role at the end of the programme. 
During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications:

•    Lean Manufacturing Operative L2 Apprenticeship Standard 
•    EAL L2 Diploma in Manufacturing (knowledge and skills)
•    Highfield Functional Skills in English and mathematics L1/L2 

 

General Duties
You will receive training to enable you to carry out the following duties
•    Prepare ingredients. 
•    Operate food mixers to produce meringue mixture. 
•    Hand deposit meringue mixture onto trays ready for baking.
•    Place meringues into oven and operate to bake. 
•    Remove baked meringues (hygroscopic) and place into drying rooms to avoid the product absorbing moisture from the air and softening. 
•    Finish chocolate topped products through enrobing and drizzling. 
•    Package finished products, this includes checking the quality of the product, weighing and hand distributing into individual containers or wrappers.  
•    Assist the Online Sales Despatch Team, by counting out and boxing products inline with customer orders. 
•    Operate in line with Health and Safety and BRCGS Food Safety Standards. 
•    General housekeeping.
•    Any other ad hoc duties as required by management.

•    Can work alone and as part of a team. 
•    Reliable and punctual. 

 

Working Hours 
Monday – Friday: 6am – 2.30pm – Hours can be adjusted to accommodate travel. (1x20minute & 1x10minute break daily)
Total hours paid: 40hours weekly 

Hourly Rate: £6.40
