AGL Training Ltd are looking to recruit a TLM Laser Technical Apprentice on behalf our well-established client based in Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove.

Our client has been established for 17 years and specialise in the laser service industry. Providing a total laser maintenance service from a preventative maintenance program to emergency breakdown. Working with a complete range of products from the industries global leaders, to implement the best service to their customers.

​

The position is for an Apprenticeship, the position is initially 15 months, there is a strong possibility of a full-time role at the end of the programme and progression available working towards ONC or HNC (NVQ Level 3,4,5) in a technical field.

​

During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications:

​

• Lean Manufacturing Operative Apprenticeship Standards L2

• EAL Level 2 in Manufacturing (Knowledge and Skills)

• English and Maths Functional Skills Level 1 / 2

 

General Duties

​

You will receive training to enable you to carry out the following duties:

​

• Working in a busy Job Shop, where they engrave, cut and weld customers equipment.

• Assist service engineers when needed, attending breakdowns.

• Unloading and loading of systems. Un-crating and setting up.

• Pretesting equipment and gaining to customers’ acceptance.

• Working with Salesforce.

• Assist with all goods arriving in the office.

• Assist with shipping all goods to customers.

• Learning Purchase Order Processing.

• Learning about general accounting principles.

• Filing and general helping around the office.

 

Skills and Requirements

• GCSE Grade 4 or above in English and Maths or equivalent (Grade C)

• Ambitious and willing to learn

• Technically minded

• Meticulous

• Confident

• Polite and friendly

• Good knowledge of ICT / Microsoft Office Package

 

Working Hours

​

Monday – Friday: 9am to 5pm (30 min lunch break) (must be flexible to change working pattern to 8am – 5pm when requested)

​

Total hours paid: 37.5
