AGL Training Ltd are looking to recruit a Warehouse and Despatch Operative Apprentice on behalf of our well-established client based in Halesfield.
Our client was established in 1982, they produce high-quality machined components to industries such as, medical, food processing, automotive and plumbing industries.
They supply a large range of components to customer specification, from a simple roller and wheel to more complicated parts, such as a gear and intricate assemblies. They supply products from just raw materials right down to the finished part, from a one-off prototype to a run of thousands with their CNC Lathes and machining centres.
Their CAD/CAM facility allows them to accept a full range of drawing format files. With the investments they have made into their CNC machines they have built up the business to a high standard, their aim is to provide quality and competitive services to all of their customers.
Your role will be to learn all aspects of the warehouse, such as dispatching, delivering and loading/ unloading the lorries.
The position is for an Apprenticeship, the position is initially 12-15 months with the possibility of a full-time role at the end of the programme.

Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship Standards L2

Highfield L2 Certificate for Supply Chain Warehouse Operatives

English and Maths Functional Skills Level 1 / 2
General Duties
You will receive training to enable you to carry out the following duties:

Packing orders ready for dispatch

Stock control
-
Dispatching goods

Liaising with customers

Arranging for new stock to be ordered

General housekeeping

Health and safety
Skills and Requirements
The ideal candidate will be:

GCSE Grade 4 or above in English and Maths (Grade C)

Good time keeping skills

Polite and friendly

Good knowledge of ICT / Microsoft Office Package
Working Hours
Monday – Thursday: 8:00- 16:30
Friday’s 8:00- 15:30
Total hours paid: 40
Hourly Rate: £6.83 ph.
