AGL Training Ltd is looking to recruit a Business Administration Apprentice on behalf of our well-established client based on Berry Hill Industrial Estate, Droitwich Spa, WR9 9AU.

Established in 1993 our client offers a variety of services in painting, decorating, carpentry and construction.

Due to the continued success of the business, they are looking for an apprentice to support the existing administration team with a variety of duties and will report to the Office Manager.

The position is for an Apprenticeship, the position is initially 15-18 months with a strong possibility of a full-time role at the end of the programme.

During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications:

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standards

  • Highfield Level 3 Diploma for Business Administrators (RQF)

  • Highfield Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Mathematics  

 

 

General Duties

You will receive training to enable you to carry out the following duties:

  • Answer and make telephone calls.

  • Order materials and supplies.

  • Check delivery notes against invoices to ensure all items have been received and identify any errors.

  • Report errors to suppliers.

  • Raise quotes for customers.

  • Check subcontractor licenses, insurances and DBS checks are up to date, where they have expired contact the sub-contractor to update/renew.

  • Send and receive emails.

  • Scan documents.

  • Filing / archiving.

  • Produce documents, including letters and complete mail merges.

  • Input data into Excel spreadsheets, sage, and any other necessary software.

  • Analyse data and produce reports when requested.

  • How to communicate with all stakeholders of the business (customers, suppliers, and colleagues).

  • Any other ad-hoc tasks as required.

 

Skills and Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:

  • GCSE Grade 4 or above in English and Maths (Grade C)

  • Ambitious, motivated, and enthusiastic

  • Willing to learn

  • Able to understand and follow instruction

  • A team-player

  • Punctual & attentive

  • Flexible attitude to work

  • Good knowledge of ICT / Microsoft Office Package

 

 

Working Hours

Monday – Friday 9am to 4pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Total hours paid: 32.5 hours

Hourly Rate: £5.50
