AGL Training Ltd are looking to recruit a Test Certification Administrator Apprentice on behalf of our well-established client based in Wolverhampton.

Our client is independently owned and built on a wealth of industry knowledge, currently operating out of its 65,000 sq-ft stockholdings, manufacturing and testing facility situated in the heart of the United Kingdom giving easy access to Britain’s roads and international shipping routes.

They are able to supply a comprehensive scope of certified fastener products using a wide range of material grades and surface coatings.

The successful applicant will be self-motivated and willing to learn and develop further in this role. Must be confident and willing to ask if unsure while settling into this role.


The position is for an Apprenticeship, the position is initially 12-18 months with the possibility of a full-time role at the end of the programme.

During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications:

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standards

  • Highfield Level 3 Diploma for Business Administrators (RQF)

  • Highfield Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths


General Duties

You will receive training to enable you to carry out the following duties:

  • Production, control and retention of company certification and Certificates of Conformity.

  • Customer assistance for any SFC certification issues.

  • Compilation of Certificates and documentation packs for despatch.

  • Control of all incoming pick lists/job card documentation for lot numbers.

  • Use of the company Certification register.

  • Control and retention of all incoming vendor certifications.

  • Master database data input and maintenance.

  • Vendor liaison for certification issues.

  • Inputting incoming Vendor Mill Certs into the master database.

  • Control and retention of external testing reports following QM review.

  • Observe all safe working practices.

  • Make recommendations for improvement wherever possible.


Skills and Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:

  • GCSE Grade 4 or above in English and Maths (Grade C)

  • Ambitious and willing to learn

  • Confident

  • Polite and friendly

  • Good knowledge of ICT / Microsoft Office Package



Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 8:30 am- 5:30 pm

Total hours paid: 40

Hourly Rate: £6.50- £7.50 depending on experience
