AGL Training Ltd are looking to recruit a Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2 Apprentice on behalf of our well-established client-based Newport.

Our client is offering a great opportunity for an apprentice to join the team in their craft brewery, providing Newport brewed beer, draft ale also produced and poured on-site. You will be a part of the process from the start which is the bottling of the beer and assisting the head brewer to the end of the process which is accompanying the delivery driver to take the finished product to the customer.


The position is for an Apprenticeship, the position is initially 12-15 months with the possibility of a full-time role at the end of the programme.

During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications:

  • Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standards

  • EAL L2 Diploma in Manufacturing (knowledge and skills)

  • English and Maths Functional Skills Level 1/ 2



General Duties

You will receive training to enable you to carry out the following duties:

  • Bottling of Products of beer

  • Assisting the head brewer

  • Operating Manufacturing Machinery

  • Manufacturing of Food Products.

  • Inspecting and Confirming Quality of goods.

  • Line work

  • Picking & Packing

  • Dispatching

  • Storage

  • Stock Control

  • Goods Outward Process

  • Loading the vans

  • Potentially liaising with customers during the delivery of products

  • Maintaining a high hygiene standard.

Working Hours

Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm (37.5 hours per week)
