AGL Training Ltd are looking to recruit a Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2 Apprentice on behalf of our well-established client based on Queensway Business Park, Telford.

Our client is offering a great opportunity for an apprentice to join the team in a fast-growing food company.

The position is for an Apprenticeship, the position is initially 12 months with the possibility of a full-time role at the end of the programme.

During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Apprenticeship Standards

  • Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Manufacturing (knowledge and skills)

  • English and Maths Functional Skills Level 1/2

 

General Duties

You will receive training to enable you to carry out the following duties:

  • Bottling of Products

  • Operating Manufacturing Machinery

  • Manufacturing of Food Products.

  • Inspecting and Confirming Quality of goods.

  • Line work

  • Picking & Packing

  • Dispatching

  • Storage

  • Stock Control

  • Goods Outward Process

  • Maintaining a high hygiene standard.

Working Hours

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm (37.5 hours per week)

Apprentice Glazier

AGL Training Ltd are looking to recruit an Apprentice Glazier on behalf our well-established client based on Stafford Park. With 30 years of experience, our client can offer their customers professional consultations and advice on a choice of glass products. They offer glazier, glazing services to both residential & commercial property. Whether it's a broken window, glazed units, damaged window frame, door or fittings, their Professional Glaziers have the experience in a range of glazing solutions.

 

The position is for an Apprenticeship, the position is initially 12 months with the possibility of a full-time role at the end of the programme.

During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Operations Apprenticeship Standards

  • Pearson BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing (knowledge and skills)

  • Functional Skills maths and English Level 1/2

 

General Duties

On the job training will be given for the right candidate to become confident in handling glass.  This will include installing glass in windows, skylights, and various fixtures.

The right candidate will be trained to cut glass/mirrors to customer requirements and be given the confidence to handle glass/mirrors in a variety of situations

Basic Administration will be required and serving of Customers.

Duties to include:

  • Provide a point of contact to customers to understand their requirements, and provide costings

  • Support team members on project until they are comfortable to take the lead themselves: this will include ensuring all the correct materials and tools are available for colleagues, customers premises are left in a clean manner, customers are happy with the service prior to leaving the premises

  • Understand the legal requirements for glazing and how these impact on our jobs

  • Cut, fit, install, repair, or replace glass.

  • Measure and mark outlines or patterns on glass to indicate cutting lines

  • Use social media to promote work and attract new customers

  • Assist with installing uPVC doors and windows

  • Load and arrange glass and mirrors from delivery trucks into the yard

 

Skills and Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:

  • GCSE Grade 4 or above in English and Maths (Grade C)

  • Communication

  • Numeracy

  • Dedication

  • Teamwork

  • Organisational skills and time management

 

Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 8.30am – 4.30pm

Total hours paid: 37.5

Annual Salary: £8632 (minimum)
