AGL Training Ltd are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative Apprentice on behalf of our well-established client based in Hortonwood.

Our clients are the producers of innovative and exciting lighting and furniture solutions, their products are central in spaces that bring people together and celebrate the social side of life. Beyond the design development, seeing these concepts substantiated in public interior spaces is an important and thrilling part of the process. As designers, curators and industry experts, they thrive from taking wild ideas and creating beautiful, thoughtful and innovative products. They work with their clients to ensure that each piece continues to be cutting edge as we develop technological advances to keep our range absolutely relevant to the changing market.

Their adept experience of manufacturing allows us to repurpose conventional approaches. Notably, they explore their passion for light and how illumination can be used as a raw material.

The position is for an Apprenticeship, the position is initially 12-15 months with the possibility of a full-time role at the end of the programme.

During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship Standards

  • Highfield Level 2 Certificate for Supply Chain Warehouse Operative (RQF)

  • English and Maths Functional Skills Level 1 / Level 2

 

General Duties

You will receive training to enable you to carry out the following duties:

  • Picking & Packing

  • Palletising

  • Handling Goods in and Goods out

  • Assembly

  • Manual lifting

  • Production (training given)

  • Assists with any other general warehouse duties as required

  • Health and Safety

  • General housekeeping

 

Skills and Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:

  • GCSE Grade 4 or above in English and Maths (Grade C)

  • Ambitious and willing to learn

  • Confident

  • Polite and friendly

  • Able to work methodically and in a timely manner.

 

Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 8:30 am- 4:30 pm

Total hours paid: 37.5

Hourly Rate: £6.45 ph
