AGL Training Ltd are looking to recruit a Powder Coating Apprentice on behalf of our well-established client based in Hadley Park Industrial Estate.

Our client offers low, medium and high-volume powder coating services to industries across the West Midlands. They are looking for an apprentice to join their hard-working team, and to learn all elements of their manufacturing process. From preparation of the materials to powder coating to quality checking and packaging of the final product. This is an excellent learning opportunity and a unique skill.

The position is for an Apprenticeship, the position is initially 15 months with the possibility of a full-time role at the end of the programme.

​

During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications:

​

• Lean Manufacturing Operative Apprenticeship Standards L2

• EAL Level 2 in Manufacturing (Knowledge and Skills)

• English and Maths Functional Skills Level 1 / 2

General Duties

​

You will receive training to enable you to carry out the following duties:

​

• Preparing customer's fabrications ready for the coating process using Wash Machine, Hand Tools, Cleaning Solution or Shot Blast.

• Pre-hanging prepared fabrications with hanging hooks.

• Powder Coating fabrications under supervision.

• Hanging coated fabrications in the required oven

• Packing finishing products ready for collection/despatch

Working Hours

​

Monday to Thursday: 8.00 am to 4.30 pm (half-hour lunch)

Friday: 8.00am to 3.00pm (half hour lunch)

Total hours paid: 38.5 hours

​

Hourly Rate: £5.00
