AGL Training Ltd are looking to recruit a Level 3 Business Admin Apprentice on behalf of our well-established client based in Willenhall.

Our client is based in the heart of the Black Country, they are a family business that are proud to have been producers of quality pork pies since 1939. As well as our renowned pork pies, we manufacture a range of scotch eggs and sausage rolls including a gourmet line of products.

Employing over 40 staff today, they currently produce over 40 different products to suit a variety of needs. Their goal is to exceed customer expectations, producing quality products that provide value for money.

Your role would be to support the business co-ordinator with all aspects of business administration including specification writing and Salsa audit protocols.


The position is for an Apprenticeship, the position is initially 12-15 months with the possibility of a full-time role at the end of the programme.

During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications:

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standards

  • Highfield Level 3 in Business Administration Skills

  • Highfield Functional Skills in English and Maths


General Duties

You will receive training to enable you to carry out the following duties:

  • Liaising with customers

  • Filing/keeping office and files organised

  • Spreadsheet completion

  • Invoice generation & queries

  • Purchase order generation

  • Order receipt and matching

  • Attendance record collation

  • To undertake office reception duties, both in person and on the phone

  • Sending and receiving emails

  • General housekeeping

  • Health and safety


Skills and Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:

  • GCSE Grade 4 or above in English and Maths (Grade C)

  • Ambitious and willing to learn

  • Confident

  • Good knowledge of ICT / Microsoft Office Package

  • Outgoing personality

  • Good telephone manner

  • Someone who can develop professional relationships

  • Calm under pressure

  • Reliable

  • Hardworking.


Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 8 am- 4pm

Total hours paid: 37.5

Hourly Rate: £5.50 ph.
