Advanced Administration Apprentice

£20,000-£24,000 per year

AGL Training Ltd are looking to recruit an Advanced Administration Apprentice on behalf our well-established client based in Bishops Castle.

Our client was founded in 1984 and is the inventor of Jesmonite; as well as being the manufacturer they also specialise in the application and use of the product. They work with a range of clients from architects, designers, sculptors and specifiers to manufacturers and contractors. Jesmonite is the ultimate chameleon material of the building industry – it can be used to replicate the appearance and texture of any surface finish in any number of colours.

Our client is looking for an Advanced Administration Apprentice to become an integral part of their future and growth plans.

The position is for an Apprenticeship, initially 12-18 months with the strong possibility of a full-time role at the end of the programme.

During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications:

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standards

  • Highfield Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration Skills

  • Functional Skills English and Mathematics Level 2


General Duties

You will receive training to enable you to carry out the following duties:

  • Answering the telephone and handling reception duties

  • Sales order processing.

  • Export documentation.

  • Purchasing.

  • Booking daily deliveries.

  • Creating and maintaining efficient filing systems.

  • Computerised accounts and creating/maintaining spreadsheets.

  • Generally assisting the office team as required.


Skills and Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.

  • Strong IT skills and the ability to use SAGE & Excel (full training will be given if necessary).

  • A good attitude to learning.

  • Strong time management skills.

  • Excellent level of English language and grammar.

Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm

Total hours paid: 37.5 hours weekly.

Salary: £20,000 – £24,000 per year depending on experience
