AGL Training Ltd are looking to recruit an Apprentice Administration Assistant on behalf of our well-established client based in Bromsgrove, B61 8LL.

Our client is the official supplier to the UK MoD Medal Office. They specialise in the manufacture and supply of full size and miniature medals and medal mounting. Granted a Royal Warrant as Medallists to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II since 2008 and our client is a supplier of insignia to many Governments around the world.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the PA to CEO, MD and FD with a view to becoming PA to MD and CEO in the future. As well as the apprenticeship, you will be mentored by an experienced PA, there is so much room to grow which is a fantastic opportunity.

 

The position is for an Apprenticeship, the position is initially 12-15 months with a strong possibility of growth and a full-time role at the end of the programme.

During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications:

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standards

  • Highfield Level 3 in Business Administration Skills

  • Highfield Functional Skills in English and Maths Level 2

 

 

General Duties

You will receive training to enable you to carry out the following duties:

  • Keep calendar up to date

  • Organise meetings

  • Prepare meeting packs

  • Dealing with company visitors

  • Making and receiving telephone calls

  • Manage emails

  • ISO Administration tasks

  • Health and Safety

  • Support the PA, FD, MD with day-to-day administration duties

 

Skills and Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:

  • GCSE Grade 4 or above in English and Maths (Grade C)

  • Ambitious and willing to learn

  • Confident

  • Polite and friendly

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages such as word, excel, PowerPoint.

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • You will need to be able to work individually and as part of a team.

 

Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 8 am- 5 pm with one hour lunch

Total hours paid: 37.5

Hourly Rate: minimum wage for age:

16-18: £4.62ph

18-20: £6.56ph

21-22: £8.36ph

23+: £8.91ph
