AGL Training Ltd are looking to recruit a Sales Administrator Apprentice on behalf of our well-established client based in Brierley Hill.

They provide millions of Precision Machined Components to customer specifications using this philosophy. High-Quality Precision Engineering, Exemplary Customer Service and Competitive Pricing continues to be enjoyed by their clients, many of whom are OEMs in major industries including Aerospace, Automotive, Boiler & Heating, Catering Equipment, and Leisure & Tourism.

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with all levels of clients and provide excellent customer service.

The position is for an Apprenticeship, the position is initially 12-15 months with the possibility of a full-time role at the end of the programme.

During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship Standards

  • Highfield Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service Skills

  • English and Maths Functional Skills Level 1/  Level 2

 

 

General Duties

You will receive training to enable you to carry out the following duties:

  • Management of shared inboxes

  • Respond promptly to enquiries

  • Regular telephone contact with client base

  • Processing and logging quotations

  • Preparation of customer-specific drawings before sending to suppliers

  • Preparation of pricing based on supplier quotations

  • Update MRP (material requirements planning) and CRM (customer relationship management) systems

  • Attend Daily Production Meeting

  • General housekeeping

 

Skills and Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:

  • GCSE Grade 4 or above in English and Maths (Grade C)

  • Ambitious and willing to learn

  • Confident

  • Polite and friendly

  • Good knowledge of ICT / Microsoft Office Package

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Holds a high attention to detail

Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 8:30 am- 4:30 pm

Total hours paid: 37.5

Hourly Rate: £6.50 ph

20 days annual leave + bank holidays, you will accrue 1 extra day’s holiday per year, up to 25 days
